the city of roseneath, california may at first glance appear to be normal, but if you dig a little deeper, scratch the surface, you'll find that roseneath is very abnormal indeed. home to the roseneath meerkats, year round sunshine, & a thriving tourist economy, you would not expect to see greek gods & goddesses wandering around the beach. during the great war of olympus, hectate, the goddess of magic & witchcraft, sought to end the fighting by forcing the gods to be reincarnated years later into the bodies of unsuspecting mortals. once these mortals reached sixteen years of age, they were informed of who they were, though they had no recollection. one god, however, had managed to stay behind. ares, the god of war, killed hectate, & in doing so condemned himself to the same fate as the others. though the incarnates physically cannot remember anything of their past lives, they are haunted by flashbacks & nightmares, unable to escape. one thing's for sure - everybody's starry eyed.
