okay, so anyone who really knows me, knows that i ship hayden/rachel like there is no tomorrow. they're my favorite real-life couple ever. so, naturally, when i made a rachel bilson character, i knew that i was eventually going to end up sitting down to type something like this for my hayden christensen. so, here goes. basically, i kind of want harper and hayden to have a bit of a lily evans/james potter marauder era type of relationship. he's a bit of a prick, possibly a bit overconfident in himself, but deep down he means well. he's probably a bit brash. he says/does things before thinking them through. he might even be someone who teases frequently, even if it's only meant harmlessly, and not maliciously at all. basically, he gets under harper's skin. and she would like to think that she would be totally happy to be rid of him. the problem is, he's set his sights on her. for one reason or another, he's decided that he wants to make her see the good side of him, even though she's convinced that all there is to see is the bad. so, he all but pesters her for dates. when he sees her in public, he strikes up conversation, which is promptly followed by asking her out, which is then promptly followed by a swift denial. but he doesn't give up. in the beginning, he would have been asking her out simply because he saw her as a challenge. he likes challenges. tackling them, taking them down. but, over time, after relentless courting, he's found himself beginning to grow feelings for her. which, of course, makes his courting even more relentless, because he's an incredibly driven individual. in the end, she'll eventually give in, thinking that it will be one date and that will be the end of it. he'll be satisfied, and she'll be rid of him... but we all know it won't go that way. harper's a bit of a wild child, and along with that comes a bit of a stubborn personality. so even if she knows she actually enjoyed his company, she wouldn't exactly be quick to admit it to anyone. hardly even herself.

idk this is just a rough idea, but i am kinda stuck on this love-hate-i'llmakeyouloveme plot. i'm a sucker for love-hate, bickering, squabbling couples. anyways, if you've got any questions, or any other ideas, feel free to run them by me.

oh, and also, i should mention that i think he would probably be the orion to her artemis. in some variations of greek myths, orion was the only man (titan, technically) she ever fell in love with. harper sees the idea of a relationship as binding, something to tie her down and keep her from being free. i want hayden to be the kind of guy that will eventually soften her to the idea, and show her that she can be free and in love.
