her face is a map of the world Sophia felt so safe here, despite the fact her feet were hanging over the edge of a sheer cliff and they were miles from civilisation and it was barely daytime. She felt at peace; a deep connection was there between her and the earth. Her mind drifted to the one secret she would not and could not tell anyone. She wondered how Demeter would have felt about the scene in front of her. How Poseidon would have controlled the seas and how the gods would ride a chariot across the sky and change it from night to day. There was a thrumming under her fingers where she felt the earth as if she were part of it. Yes, Sophia felt at one with nature. She didn't know if it was in her mind or if it was real. She'd only ever had dreams of the life she was supposed to have once led. She'd learnt more from the library than she had from her own recollections. She couldn't even explain why she thought of Demeter as herself, but she just did. It was something she'd just.. discovered at the age of sixteen. Sophia listened to Lukas appreciatively, agreeing in the right places and wondering if he felt the same about this place as she did now. Did he feel the breaking of the waves in his bones? Did he feel the thrum of the earth as if it breathed? Did he acknowledge the grass and flowers growing around them and how for the next few months they would flourish in preparation to once again descend into the earth for winter? Sophia madly wondered for a moment if he had any connection to the greek gods too – she mentally laughed at herself. No, he wouldn't, Sophia was simply slightly insane in that respect. The warmth of Lukas' body around her completed the picture perfectly. She felt the warmth of the sun on her face and the warmth of Lukas' precense deep in her stomach. It warmed her from the inside out. She complied willingly with being closer to him, glad of reason to cuddle into his chest and stare out at the ocean. ”It's more than just special.” she said to him gently, looking into his eyes with a smile. ”It's like something out of a painting, something out of legend.” she spoke just as quietly, drawing circles with her thumb on Lukas' hip where her hand was resting. ”It's very special to me too, now. Thank you for sharing it with me.” she answered him sincerely, stretching up and pressing her lips to his cheek very gently before resting her head back on his shoulder, glad her hair was falling around her face so that he wouldn't see her blush. She wasn't sure why she'd just kissed him, or why the fact that she had kissed him was such a big deal to her. Sophia's lips tingled ever so slightly, like she'd just put on some of that herbal lipbalm that makes your lips feel all weird for a little while. Her face felt warm and her hands felt clammy, even though they weren't. Her heart was beating as if she'd just run a race, yet all she'd done was give Lukas a little kiss of thanks on the cheek. She let herself stare out at the ocean again, willing her heart to beat in time with the waves, but nothing helped, all she wanted was to kiss Lukas again. And again. And again. She'd done it once and it didn't seem her brain was going to stop prompting her until she did it again. She almost mentally slapped herself for being so bold. lukas was acutely aware of how close sophia was to him. infact, he was pretty sure that every hair, every molecule, every single cell within his body, was screaming out at having her presense in such close range. everything felt so right. so incredibly right, lukas couldn't even begin to comprehend it, let alone describe it. he sighed contently. staring into her eyes, it was as if she had just read his mind, word for word. this setting was something out of the most picturesque painting imaginable, or the most breath taking legend retold. "it's liike something totally out of this world," he replied, a gentle smile laid across his lips. he took a slight intake of breath, as her thumb played with his hip. drawing circles with her thumb on his hip. he swore that he could feel a trail of tingling heat, from her finger tip. "i'm glad it's special to you now too,". he didn't quite know what it was about sophia, but she was addictive. the slightest, unintended touch was enough to send sparks flying within his body. her brush off attitude towards him, made him want to try harder to impress her. lukas had been with a lot of women, don't get me wrong. but none had ever captured his attention enough to warrent feelings or innate reactions within him, like this. it was totally alien to lukas. he may not understand what he was feeling, but the one thing he did understand is that he didn't want it to end.
lukas watched sophia stretch upwards, as she planted a kiss on his cheek. as her lips touched against his flesh, a short, sharp shock seemed to be transfered into his cheek. the same tingling from her touch on his hip, was now tickling his cheek. lukas tried to contain the wolfish smirk that had appeared on his face. he really did try, but even he wasn't sure he'd succeeeded. when she didn't meet his gaze, instead settling on staring out at the ocean. lukas leant away from her briefly, plucking a single large daisy out of the earth. wrapping his arm once more around her waist, his gaze fixed on the daisy, he toyed with it between two fingers. before snapping off the majority of the stem. turning to sophia, his face was fixed in a poker expression. giving away absolutley nothing at all; about the emotions raging through him at that moment. he placed the flower on his lap, before moving the hand to cup sophia's face. it made him even more aware of how small, how delicate she was. tracing his thumb over her cheek twice, it was a smooth as he'd imagined. untwining his arm from around her waist, he picked up the daisy. slipping it into her hair, securing it in place with one of her hair grips. he held her face a moment or two longer than was deemed necessary. leaning down, he rested his forehead gently on hers, a sigh of utter contentment all that gave away lukas' feelings.

her face is a map of the world Sophia was anxious about how Lukas would react to her behaviour. She didn't want him to reject her, especially after he'd gone to all this trouble in order for them to have a nice day out together. She could have ruined it all with that one little kiss. Her body was overloading with far too many emotions for her to handle. She was scared and nervous and worried but mostly she was just tingling. Her entire body felt like it was being kissed by the sun at the same time. It felt warm and beautiful and like she might glitter from the intensity of the feeling. As soon as Lukas moved away from her Sophia felt the panic set in. He was rejecting her for something she hadn't even intended to be romantic, though she was now considering the kiss as just that. Romantic. She had thought about the possibility of romance with Lukas but she never imagined she would actually act on it. Yet, quickly, Lukas returned to be as flush against her body as before. She felt as sensitive as a panther with their short fur that she knew could sense every change in the pressure of the air around them. Sophia didn't lean into his shoulder again, instead looking at Lukas as he played with a daisy between his fingers. Even the daisies in this place looked more beautiful than a normal daisy, or maybe it was because of the early rising sun that had half opened the small flower and made it look so fragile that made it beautiful to Sophia. She began drawing figures of eight on Lukas, very small, with her fingertips instead of the circles she had been creating with her thumbs. It was a habit of hers, to almost caress someone's skin in this way when in such an intimate embrace. Possibly a good reflex at that. The lack of expression in his face half alarmed Sophia. She had no idea what he was thinking or feeling. Yet, regardless of the poker face he was putting on for her, she couldn't pull her eyes away from his face. She felt as if there was something keeping her there, like a magnetic field that was pulling her towards Lukas. It made sense to her – they were opposites, yet essentially the same thing. They appealed to the opposing sides of the other. She, the calm, down to earth girl, liked his adrenalin fueled, hot headed temperment. He, the groomed blonde bachelor, seemed content to stare at her simple brown hair and freckled face. They didn't make any sense, yet here they were, close as could be, after only a few weeks of knowing each other. Sophia bit her bottom lip slightly as Lukas' hands cupped her face. Her heart was pounding loudly in her ears, making it hard to think of anything apart from the fact that Lukas was looking at her, staring at her, as if she were something delicate and precious. Emotionally, she felt delicate. She knew that one action from Lukas could probably destroy her current state of mind. Her eyes watched his as one of his hands placed the daisy in her hair. Sophia smiled and let her eyes shut for a second, appreciating the feeling of.. she didn't know what. Just appreciating everything she could feel in that moment. When she opened her eyes she was looking into Lukas' again. Their foreheads were just resting against each others. She was completely aware of every part of him and how close it was to every part of her. She lifted one of her hands slowly then even more slowly, traced the line of his jaw with her fingertips. It was an unbelievably intimate moment. There didn't need to be kisses or anything sexual or even words, just looking at Lukas, being this close, was enough for Sophia. She continued to let her fingers run under his eyes, tracing the faint shadows there, and rub her thumb across his cheek, brushing the edge of his lips, and smoothing her hand down his face. The scene they had been admiring minutes before paled in comparison to how Lukas looked to her in that moment. The sun was just catching his hair, giving it the look of a halo. Her lips were slightly parted, her teeth biting into the lower lip gently. She didn't quite know what to do next. She knew what she wanted to do, but would it ruin all of this? She didn't know. Instead, she mimicked the sigh that Lukas had exhaled a few minutes prior, without even realising it. If they were going to kiss, Sophia wanted to save it for the end of the day, when she could be sure that her runaway emotions wouldn't be ruining anything. With another sigh, this time slightly more resigned, Sophia looked down and broke the connection between the two of them, allowing herself to kiss Lukas' cheek again, this time on the other side, before she extracted herself from the embrace. Immediately, she missed the contact, but she resolved against re-entering Lukas' arms again, at least for the time being. She pushed herself up until she was standing, holding her hand out to Lukas. ”Come on.” she said, her voice still soft and emotional despite herself. ”Before our legs fall asleep.” she resumed her teasing again, as she helped Lukas up. She made sure she didn't restart eye contact with him, knowing that it would be the end of her resolve. She had to keep herself under control – if they were to kiss, there would be another chance, she was sure of it. NEW NOT PJS outfit<3. for dearest kate. puppy.

his pulse was thrumming so hard. he was almost certain sophia would be able to feel it with ease. the reason for his pulse practically exploding from his throat? the very reason was sat right infront of him. appearing a picture of innocence. the sunlight highlighted her porcerlin complexion. like silk and cream, a texture and tone artists would spend their lives trying to match. but they would never succeed. it was perfection. perfection right infront of him. the soft breeze, captured tendrils of her hair. only offering more access to the light, which exposed all the different shades hidden within. to class her hair as brown would be too narrow. to naive. to ignorant. there were hints of chestnut, auburn, russet, mahogany, fawn. her eyes were like fathomless pools. she was a picture of perfection, of innocence. however, it was indeed this picture of innocence that was causing lukas' jaw to tense, the muscle visibily twitching as he trembled slighty under the touch of her hands on his face.
her fingers were tracing every aspect of his face. as if she were memorising him. as her fingers trailed across his jaw, he felt his jaw clench, attempting to repress a shudder. his muscle jumped as she continued to explore his jawline. lukas remained frozen in place. a throaty groan sounding in the back of his throat. "why're you so.." her actions were so intimate, but not sexual in the slightest. all he was aware of was her. her touch. her scent. her precense. he couldn't see beyond her. she was intoxicating. "perfect?" he was drowning in her. as her fingers continued to sweep over his face, exploring his eyes, his nose, he jaw. he drank in the emotions she causing. he had never felt so close to another before. given himself to someone like this. she drove him crazy. the only sound he seemed to be able to pick up was their breathing, and his erratic heartbeat.
his eyes closed, lukas heard her mimick his sigh. a lazy smile crept onto his lips. lips that she then brushed against lightly with her finger tip. he gently nipped at her finger, catching in briefly between his teeth, before releasing it. he would happily stay like this forever. no questions asked. but instead, her carressing stopped, a more resound sigh filling the air. lukas' eyes fluttered open, to see her place a kiss on the opposite cheek, to which she had done prior. before she drew away, getting to her feet before offering him a hand. accepting, he braced himself, gathering up the vast majority of his weight by himself. he didn't want to pull her over. "i don't know whether you've noticed," clearing his throat, attempting in vain to get his voice sounding normal. to stop the strained toned that was plainly audible in his voice. "but you're a bit small to be offering to help me up," releasing her hand, hoping that this would help calm his pulse. "legs fallen asleep?" he cocked an eyebrow. a mischevious smirk capturing his lips "oh my lady, do let me assist," with that, he bent down, hoisting sophia into his arms. he swung her over his shoulder, into a firemans lift, and headed over in the direction they came. chuckling softly under his breath.

her face is a map of the world Sophia was trying her very hardest to keep her breathing normal, her cheeks unflushed and her heartbeat regular. Her entire body seemed to be reacting to Lukas in ways that she couldn't control. Try as she might, no amount of distance or chaste actions would keep her body from wanting Lukas. It wasn't a sexual need, it was something else. She couldn't describe it in words adequately, but it was like wanting to be connected to Lukas, wanting to just have a little piece of him touching her or have him speak to her or have her eyes on him. Any small thing was enough, as long as Lukas was involved. She was fully intending to help pull him up, despite her small stature, but Lukas took most of the work out of it. Sophia rolled her eyes good naturedly at his teasing. ”I was going to use your weight to stretch me out a bit. My body feels all floppy.” she explained, her eyes alight with her teasing attitude. ”There's no need to get on about my height just because you're a giant.” she feigned hurt but then laughed. ”Where are we going next?” she asked, but received no answer, instead being lifted up swiftly and thrown over Lukas' shoulder. Sophia screamed playfully, like you would on a rollercoaster, and gripped the back of Lukas' shirt. ”I swear Theiran if you drop me I will destroy your motorbike.” she said in what would have been a menacing manner if it wasn't coming from little Sophia. ”Put me down now!” she demanded, kicking her legs a little but laughing at the same time. It was another one of those terrifying but fun moments that she forever seemed to encounter around Lukas. They arrived back at the motorbike and Sophia was put down again. She figured they were headed somewhere new so put her things back into her backpack and adjusted her clothes so that they were straight again and less of her stomach was on display. ”Is the next destination a surprise too?” she asked curiously, watching Lukas with appreciative eyes. She wanted to kiss him again, already. Sophia mentally chastised herself, focusing on pulling her gloves on and scooping her hair out of the way so she could put her helmet on. As soon as she'd gotten herself onto the motorbike she waited for Lukas to sit in front of her before loosely wrapping her arms around his waist. She was again taken over by the urge to kiss him. Sophia gripped Lukas a little tighter for a second, fighting her urge and then adequately distracted when the bike's engine started up and they were moving again. he couldn't quite get over how light she was. sure, he knew she was small. but she was literally nothing to carry. it was actually quite comfortable. he tilted his head back, grinning at her wickedly as she grabbed his shirt and kicked her legs. this made her resemble a toddler having a paddy, which only made lukas laugh more. at her threat he gasped. "theiran? is that the level we're on now," tipping her further down over his shoulder. his arms wrapped around the back of her knee's to prevent her from falling. "and now threatening to destroy my baby?" he could feel her struggling. "i don't really think you're in any position to threaten me, jaye" with that he spun around, laughing outloud as he did so. he stopped, noticing the grasp she had on his shirt. " you know, if you wanted me to take my clothes off, all you had to do was say," pulling her slightly forward, so she wasn't dangling across his back so precariously. "no need to try tear them off," he quirked an eyebrow, twisting his head to smirk at her.
settling her safely onto the ground, lukas had to resist the urge of letting her drop onto her butt on the dirt. watching her straighten out her clothes, he slipped his helmet back over his head. kicking the bike into gear. "next stop?" he repeated. slipping on the bike infront of her, instantly aware of how close they were. it was as if static electricity travelled between them; reacting everytime they got too close. "next stop is breakfast. i'm a man, incase you haven't noticed." he twisted around, checking she'd got her helmet on. giving it a light tap on the top, he finished his sentence. " and men need food,". releasing the break, they shot forward, with a slight screech of the wheels as they raced across the tarmac. lukas chastised himself, remember that he had sophia on the back of his bike. twilting his head slightly towards her, "sorry!" i'll behave," he yelled over the noise of the engine. the roads were still relatively quiet, even now people would be rising to go to work. gunning it down the roads, lukas would steady his speed if he felt sophia's arms tense around him. he tooks corners more carefully than he had done in years. humming a slight tune under his breath.
they had been driving for around thirty minutes when lukas left the highway, heading into a suburban town. the sea glinting over the tops of the houses in the distance. pulling over, he killed the engine. just as the shop keeper, opened the doors, essentially opening the bakery. slipping off the bike, he offered her his arm to help her. "breakfast time,". they had arrived at what appeared to be a quaint, oldstyle french bakery. the windows were framed with cakes and buns of all varieties. the scent of fresh bread and dough hit him. his stomach actually grumbled. "come on," removing his helmet, and running a hand through his hair. which he was sure looked utterly ridiculous and ruffled, but he was too hungry to care right now. "they do killer pain au chocolat," ushering her through the door before him. encouraging her forward, by a slight bump of his hip against her back. "have whatever...my treat,". he was already admiring the stacks of fresh food infront of him. debating whether it would be rude to just eat everything.

her face is a map of the world Sophia appreciated Lukas' careful attitude towards riding when she was sat on the back of his bike. She may have been a passenger before, but she still wasn't entirely confident on the vehicle. Every time they went around a corner Sophia tightened her hold around Lukas, partly because she was worried about falling off and partly because she liked to use the corners as an excuse to be closer to him. Sophia may have been denying it to herself for some time, but now it was rather clear to her that she was completely and utterly infatuated with Lukas. After he'd mentioned food her own stomach had started to protest at the lack of nutrition it had been receiving, so Sophia was glad that they were headed somewhere with food – she only hoped that it would be food she liked. As cars began to join them on the highway Sophia grew nervous, imagining what would happen in a crash. However, after about ten minutes, she relaxed a little again, reassured by Lukas' control of his bike. When the bike stopped Sophia pulled the crash helmet off, trying to keep her hair as under control as possible, before looking at where Lukas had brought her. Sophia couldn't help but smile – it was so picturesque and cute. ”You know some interesting places Mr Theiran.” she said, approvingly. ”I wouldn't have imagined you'd know somewhere like this.” she confessed, following him into the bakery and breathing in the smell of baking. There was a vast array of baked delicacies that she recognised and an equal amount that she didn't. Sophia hovered behind Lukas for a moment before putting her crash helmet down on one of the wicker seats in one corner and perusing the food for herself. The baker smiled at her from behind the counter and Sophia smiled back, pointing at a couple of chelsea buns. ”Could I have two of those and an apple turnover?” she asked sweetly. ”I'll pay for his too.” she continued to the baker, nodding at Lukas. If he was bringing her out on this adventure today, she would at least buy him breakfast. She passed the baker a note. ”That should cover it all.” she said with another smile and took her food, sitting at a table and waiting for Lukas. ”Don't try and argue about me paying, you can get lunch or something if you really must; I want to pay for something as a thanks for you taking me out today.” she said to him, putting the chelsea buns in her bag for later and starting to eat the apple turnover. It was still slightly warm, exactly how Sophia liked them. She nudged Lukas with her elbow. ”Are we making up the rest of today or have you got another place planned?” she asked, trying to hide her excitement. She wanted to know where they were going, what they'd be doing, everything. She loved surprises but her curiosity was getting the better of her. The baker asked them if they'd like drinks and Sophia nodded, ordering a cup of tea for herself. Sophia felt utterly content, sat in this little quirky bakers, with Lukas, as the whole world outside started to wake up; it was all perfect. NEW NOT PJS outfit<3. for dearest kate. puppy.

smiling at her words, lukas nodded in agreement. "i'm a bundle of surprises,"
deciding upon two pain au chocolat's and an chelsea bun to match sophia's, lukas was in the process of pulling out his wallet, to pay the baker; when sophia obviously had other idea's. his eyes whipped over to the movement in his peripheral vision. she was handing money over, insisting that she'd pay for both of their breakfast. lukas growled low in his throat, beginning to form a clear argument in his head. which pretty much started with "i am paying" and "that is the end of the matter". but before he could even open his mouth, to deliver his coherent and well thought out argument to her, she'd already walked off and taken a seat at one of the delicate tables which lined the cream walls. lukas paused for a moment, unsure what to do. glancing back to the man behind the counter, he saw that he had an amused expression on his face. "um... thanks, i guess?" lukas mumbled. trying to figure out what just happened. girls do not pay. lukas did not like girls paying. call it old fashioned and sexist but he didn't want sophia to feel as though she owed him anything. having thanked the man behind the counter, he sauntered over to where she sat. a puzzled glare shadowed his eyes. it was as if she'd read his mind, because before he even had a chance to speak again, she had interrupted him to argue her case. lukas' mouth remained open like a guppy fish, until she finished. "you don't have to thank me for anything," unlike sophia, lukas didn't put any of the food in his bag. he instead took a bite into one of the pain au chocolat's; chewing carefully, he considered his next words before swallowing. "i did this today because i wanted to, you really didn't need to pay for it,". the slight frown disappeared off his features after he'd convinced himself that he would pay for lunch and dinner. he sipped on the glass of coke, he had ordered whilst munching happily away at the second pain au chocolat. lukas smiled softly as she nudged his elbow, vying for details of their next stop. "i have a few checkpoints along the way that we're going to do, but most of the day is just driving and seeing where we end up," considering their next plan of action. "however, the next thing we'll be doing, is i'm going to teach you how ride my bike," leaning across the table he nipped the apple turnover out her hands. taking a brief bite, before putting it back on the plate. "mm. they're good," licking his lips deliciously slow, chewing to emphasize on the mouthful he'd just taken. "don't worry, i won't let you die... as long as you're nice to me,"

her face is a map of the world Sophia shrugged a little. ”I paid for you because I wanted to.” was her final argument on the matter. She knew that she wasn't about to get away with the who incident – she'd probably be banned from paying for things all day now, but at least her independence was satisfied. Unlike Lukas, she didn't have traditional views and wasn't used to guys looking after her. She was slowly beginning to realise however that Lukas would always attempt to look after her, whether she liked it or not. He was protective, in a way, she reasoned. She listened to his plans for the day avidly, nibbling her apple turnover appreciatively between sips of tea. However, as he mentioned her learning to ride his bike, she almost choked on her mouthful of tea. ”You.. want me.. to drive..?” she asked in broken sentences. A couple of seconds later she managed to recover a little and finish a full sentence. ”You want me to ride your bike? I've never driven anything in my life. I've never even been in a go kart!” she said, alarmed. The idea of riding his bike was another one of those terrifyingly exciting things that she often encountered around Lukas. Instead of being shocked when Lukas stole her food, Sophia simply laughed and lightly slapped the back of his hand when he gave her food back. ”Don't steal my food; I paid for it, I eat it. When you pay for something, you can steal bits of it.” she teased, finishing off the apple turnover and then drinking her tea. Once she noticed that Lukas had finished she started feeling a little nervous. Next she'd be learning to ride his bike. Sophia resisted the urge to sigh and stood up from their table, slinging her backpack over one shoulder and holding her crash helmet under her arm. ”C'mon then, may as well crash your bike as soon as possible.” she said, teasing him again. They exited the shop after Sophia thanked the baker and waved to him in goodbye and were soon stood in front of Lukas' bike again. Suddenly the vehicle looked menacing. Sophia sat on it carefully, suddenly realising that she would have to sit in front and Lukas would be behind her. With his arms around her. She didn't put her crash helmet on immediately, instead waiting for Lukas to give her some sort of direction because, frankly, she had no idea what she was doing. lukas laughed slightly at her reaction, to the news that she would be riding his bike. he actually felt a slight flutter of... dread? yes, that was the feeling. "hey, no talk of crashing my baby," he chastised, following her out of the bakery, nodding briefly to the baker in thanks. "surely even you're aware that it's practically blasphemy!". he stood on the sidewalk, frozen in amusement as she slipped onto the bike, jamming her helmet in place. lukas couldn't hold back a smirk, chortling softly under his breath. he took a step towards where she was sat on the bike, his hand cupping the chin of her helmet, raising her face to meet his. silent amusement twinkled in his eyes as he spoke. "as much of an adrenalin junkie i am, i don't think it's wise to let a person who has never even been in a go-kart drive this on a busy, pedestrian filled town," he slipped on the bike in front of her, wiggling her backwards, until he was sat in his usual place on the bike. "i may like the thrills, but i'm not suicidal..." kicking the bike into gear, he turned his head to shout over the noise of the engine; which growled underneath them. "i'll take us somewhere more quiet, where it won't matter if you make a mistake,". leaning down he grabbed his helmet from where he had rested it on the sidewalk, slipping it over his head. glancing over his shoulder, he pulled back out onto the high-street.
lukas had found the most perfect location for sophia to learn. there were no large trees threatening to leap out at them at any moment. no cliffs edge. the ground was even mildly giving, a soft sand and dirt surface. leaving the engine running, he slipped off the bike. removing his helmet, he turned to grin at her, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. "now, lets get you started," he explained the basics of where everything was, and what she needed to do. "right," slipping on the bike behind her, he leaned forward, until his hands were next to hers on the handlebars. "i need you to give it a brief acceleration, before releasing the break,". it didn't turn out as badly as lukas assumed. they only narrowly avoided a ditch, nearly ran over a small squirrel that had wandered unbeknowing out from the undergrowth and successfully rolled the bike, a grand total of two times. he even had the battle scar's to prove it. setting the bike in an upright position, after the second time of them hitting the dirt, he turned to her laughing. "that will teach me to put my helmet on next time," wiping away a slight amount of blood, that was oozing from a cut on his forehead. he smiled at her, taking a step closer and wrapping her in a hug. "you did good you know?" assuming that after this latest mishap she may need some reassurance. "i'm not even kidding. the first time i rode my bike, i broke my arm. i was more upset at the fact i wrote off the bike," brushing away the dirt scattered on her shoulder with his hand. "hey, and you avoided murdering the squirrel," his chin rattled against the top of her helmet, as he laughed. "come on, one last time, you'll get it,"
the rest of the day had been perfect. lukas had been forced into the nearest supermarket they could find. must to his protests. however, he lost this argument and this was proven by the fact he was now supporting a bright pink barbie plaster on his forehead. sophia had got it eventually. to the extent where lukas dared to let go on the bike, and hold onto her waist lightly. he had to admit to himself though, whenever they went around a bend, he had tensed slightly. he'd already took a blow to the head for one squirrel today, he wasn't quite prepared to take one for another. lukas had stuck true to his words, paying for both lunch and dinner. he even felt some form of satisfaction, when he had managed to defend sophia from the other players during a game of paintball. forgetting the fact that she was on the other team. his selfless act, had resulted in him being hit by numerous paint balls. some of which he was sure had come from behind him, in the direction of sophia. lukas was actually pretty sad to see the day end, but he'd got the final location of the day left. walking across the sand, he admired the sunset in the horizon, which cast the whole world into silhouettes. true to form, sophia was bounding along, full of energy, just as he expected. lukas was limping along like a trooper, battle scars on display. bruises forming from paintball already. "you know... if i didn't know better," cocking an eyebrow, "i would say that atleast four of those shots had come from your direction,". lukas reached across grabbing her hand, tugging her closer to him, dipping his head, his lips placed precariously close to her ear. "purely coincidental i'm sure, jaye?". walking through the surf, lukas stopped and turned towards her, blocking her path. he twisted them around until his back was faced towards the sea. his arms twined around her waist, he rested his chin on her head, smelling the familiar scent of raspberry ripple; a knowing smirk washing over his features. "thankyou for today, thankyou for my wakeup call, my cup of tea, my breakfast, my head injury, and especially the band-aid"

her face is a map of the world Sophia ended up being terrible at driving the motorbike. She fell off, she stalled it, she got it muddy, she nearly killed a squirrell and as Lukas insisted on reminding her, she'd rolled the bike over twice. Overall, Sophia felt that she'd probably be safer from now on if she let Lukas do the driving but after a couple more tries, she found that she almost getting there. Once Lukas was assured she knew the basics, he no longer leant around her to keep his hands over hers on the steering, which made it much easier for her to concentrate. After a while he'd also simply allowed himself to hug her around the waist for his own security instead of hers, which made it equally easier to concentrate on the task at hand. When it came to her driving along the roads, Sophia found that she wasn't actually as bad at riding this bike as she had thought she might be. Sure, she'd stalled it on a hill and sure, they'd run out of petrol without her noticing and they'd had to wheel the bike to the nearest garage, but overall she hadn't done too badly in her opinion. The day had been filled with other exciting things too, like go karting (this hadn't been planned, but Sophia had seen the go karts and wanted to go on them, since she'd never been on one before), paintballing (in which she sneakily shot several balls at Lukas' back) and chips out of a newspaper while sat on a pier overlooking the beach. Sophia hadn't felt this happy in a long time. She felt warm and fuzzy, sort of like just waking up and feeling so unbelievably comfortable that you don't want to move, except she was wide awake and the only thing she didn't want to move away from was Lukas. Her camera was full of images from the day too. Lukas had taken a couple of her on the bike, whilst she'd taken a few of him go karting before racing him around as well. Then there were before and after shots of the two of them paintballing which made Sophia laugh. Lukas had ended up far worse off than her, though she suspected much of this was bcause of his chivalrous defence of her. The best photo was of Lukas with a pink plaster on his forehead, covering his wound sustained from one of the many crashes that had involved Sophia and his beloved motorbike. Now, at the end of the day, Sophia was happy to be able to walk along the beach and watch the sun set. They'd come in a full circle and it had been tiring. The setting sun cast a different shade of orange across the clouds that Sophia captured on camera, before kicking off her shoes and socks, rolling up her jeans so they were at her mid calves, and walking along the beach with Lukas. She kicked the sand up in front of her, letting it fall between her bare toes. The day had been so utterly perfect that nothing could ruin her mood. As Lukas spoke she looked over to him, admiring the way that the sun caught his hair and made him appear to glow like some sort of angel. Of course, he was the kind of angel who rode a motorbike and made her do things she'd never done before and made her heart flip over and her palms itch, but he was an angel none the less. She let her mind admire his face for a moment; the strong line of his jaw, the unruly manner of his hair, the slight stubble forming on his skin where he possibly hadn't shaved in a few days, the curve of his lips, the soft yet playful look in his eyes. Sophia smiled, the smile turning cheeky once she registered what he'd said. However, she didn't respond to his accusations, instead choosing to skip ahead and act innocent. However, as he caught her hand and pulled her closer to his body, Sophia felt her breath catch. He was suddenly very close. She could physically feel the heat from his skin and feel his breath on her face as he whispered in her ear. Once again, Sophia was not quite capable of words, instead shaking her head and letting her mass of hair cover the growing blush on her cheeks. Then his presence was gone again, walking towards the sea with such confidence that Sophia felt like a bit of a nervous wreck in comparison. She followed him, taking two steps to every one he took due to the considerable difference in the length of their legs. However, as soon as Sophia caught up with him she found his arms around her again. Sophia managed to smile this time, comforted by the contact and wrapping her arms around his chest too. She rested her head against his shirt, breathing in his scent as he inhaled hers. The sea water was still warm from the day's sun and lapped around her knees. She wished she could photograph this entire moment and add it to her collection from today, butt remembering it in her mind would have to be good enough because she wasn't about to move to get her camera from the beach. ”Thank you, for my adventure and for teaching me to ride your bike and protecting me in paintball and showing me the sunrise. And for letting me put such a beautiful plaster on you.” she added the last bit as an afterthought, giggling as she did so. She hugged him tightly, well, tightly for her anyway, but she was small and weak so tightly wasn't exactly tight at all. ”You've successfully given me the best day ever.” she said genuinely, looking up at him and smiling. Emboldened by the moment, she tiptoed and kissed his cheek, a move she hadn't made since their moment on the cliff this morning. She could feel the spark fly between their skin, even after she had returned to the flats of her feet and was leaning against his chest again. Yet, after being so close to kissing him again, properly, her eyes just wouldn't stay down; she looked up at his face again, letting her eyes catch his and watching the reflections of of the sunset bounce off the water and into Lukas' eyes. Sophia bit her lower lip very gently, letting her arms move and hook around Lukas' neck. Kiss me. she thought, willing Lukas to hear her. Just kiss me.NEW NOT PJS outfit<3. for dearest kate. puppy.

everything seemed to feel simple with sophia. as simple as the water lapping at their ankles, the froth from the surf clinging to their flesh. as simple as each grain of sand rubbing in between each of their toes. she was a breath of fresh air to lukas. no complications, no mind games, no nothing. just honesty, and fun. a girl who was willing to try new things. who didn't cry, when she had a slight incident with a motorbike which in fact weighed more than her. she didn't mind the fact that her hair was mussed up, dirt over her from rolling the bike. she had never looked more beautiful to him, than she did right now.
at that point in his life, he wanted nothing more than to kiss her. the current from where her lips had brushed against his cheek lingered. taunting him. tempting him. he noticed nothing but her. she was everything at this moment. the beach disappeared, the ocean, the sunset. all he was aware of was her and how she made all his senses come alive with a simple touch. a brush her lips was all it took. "the best day ever, huh?" reaching up, he brushed a lock of her hair away from her face. "i did good then," smiling to himself. he couldn't quite explain how happy it made him that she'd enjoyed herself. that she hadn't had a horrible day and been counting down the hours until she could be rid of him. "you know, i'm seriously impressed," relishing in the feel of her head against his chest. her heat searing through the thin shirt that covered his torso.
he stared intently into her eyes as she stared at him. neither of their gazes faltering, he kept his eyes locked on hers. studying her face. the gentle curve of her jawline, the gentle blush that crept up her cheeks, her lips. he wanted her. he wanted her so damn much. she was so beautiful. releasing one hand from around her waist, he carefully cupped her face in his hand, raising it to meet his. his other hand began tracing over her features; as if trying to figure out if she was actually real. they danced over her nose, trailing down to her jawline, a delicate finger tip following the bone structure. his thumbs brushed lightly over the slight blush that was tickling her cheeks. lowering his face until it was nearly level with hers. his lips so close to hers, he could feel her warm breath wash across his facing. shaking his head slightly, a strained laugh filled the air around them. "god..." his eyes rose to the sky disbelievingly. how can you be real?" murmuring to himself, unaware his musings were out loud. "you're so..." his mind searching for a word that could sum up everything, every emotion he was feeling. no word seemed enough at that time. how could one word signify every raging emotion within his body at that moment in time. it almost seemed insignificant. " unbelievably beautiful," he finished. the electricity seemed to spark between their lips, they edged closer, his eyes closed. until they were certain to touch. so close, he swore he could imagine the feel of them against his.
only they never came. lukas wished he had a good explanation as to why. and by good explanation, he means acceptable. an acceptable explanation for lukas would be a meteor hitting the beach; mere metres from them. maybe, a great white shark disemboweling him as he stood there about to kiss her. but even then that would be on the borderline of acceptability. no. lukas didn't experience a meteor missile landing inches from him and sophia. nor did he lose vital limbs or organs from a vicious unprovoked shark attack... he got wiped out by a wave. a freaking wave. that swept him off his feet, crashing into sophia and both of them tumbling into the ocean. at the point, lukas was sure he could hear the cosmic universe laughing at him. curse you poseidon

her face is a map of the world Sophia felt warm – the kind of warm you got from drinking tea on a winter's day or sitting in a warm bath or seeing old people holding hands. It was the kind of warm that made her want to snuggle into anything and everything. She felt so lucky at this particular moment because she knew exactly what was causing this feeling. Lukas. She could see herself reflected in his eyes, feel her hair being flicked around by the wind, feeling the goosebumps erupt on the exposed skin. This was going to be it. Sophia couldn't quite breathe properly – Lukas was so close, she could just lean in that little bit and their lips would touch. Her body yearned for his kiss, but it couldn't move. She was paralysed by the look in his eyes. His laughter rang in her ears which then burned as he spoke. Her entire face felt like it was glowing. The trails that his fingers had traced tingled by pins and needles but so much nicer. They were enveloped by the moment and Sophia felt like she had been put into a tv sitcom and was cast as the shows main love plot. It felt too perfect for real life. Sophia let one of her hands cup Lukas' cheek, drawing her thumb across his skin. ”So are you.” she breathed, almost too quietly to hear. He was so close, their lips almost touching and very nearly in the kiss that she had wanted for the whole day. But the kiss never came. Sophia was aware that she was falling backwards and the water that splashed over her broke the spell. Sophia laughed in shock, her arm still around Lukas and her hand still on his cheek. He had landed on top of her and she was glad that the beach was sandy and provided a soft place to land. Despite how close he was, the beauty of the previous moment had faded and the impulse to kiss Lukas had lessened enough for Sophia to gain control of her mind. ”Way to kill the moment Theiran.” she teased him, sitting up a little in the surf and spitting a little, trying to get the taste of salty water out of her mouth. ”At least I'm not in a white top this time.” she commented, getting up a bit more but being knocked down by another wave. ”We should probably get out of the surf before the tide gets too strong and continues to knock us over.” she said crawling out of the main body of the water until she was free enough from the current to stand and shake her hair out like a dog. ”I think, for getting me all soggy, you owe me a hot chocolate at your house.” she suggested innocently, batting her eyelashes at Lukas as she wrung out her shirt. They were back to being innocent and teasing again, which was nice. Sophia knew what she was doing now. The serious moments too over her mind and her body and let her control go out of the window until all that existed was her and Lukas. It scared her as well as thrilled her, as did most things with Lukas. For now, a kiss could wait, dry clothes were the most important. NEW NOT PJS outfit<3. for dearest kate. puppy.
