"There are only two kinds of people in this world:by the look of fascination and awe on her smooth face, it was quite obvious that miss violetta pryderi was quite enjoying herself at the world famous roseneath zoo. her almond eyes shimmered with sheer fascination as her gaze wandered around the elephant exhibit. elephants were always quite the interesting animal for viola, though not necessarily her favorite. she always thought their trunks were so interesting: how they went up and down and up and down for one thing. it was kinda like playing with a rope. you moved one end of the rope, and the rest would undulate as well.
the young girl eagerly pressed her palms against the handrails, slightly leaning in. her laughter tinkled and melded perfectly with all the other young children when a baby elephant playfully trumpeted at another. the young elephant then proceeded to scamper over to it's mother, clinging childishly to the sides of her thick, wrinkled legs. viola leaned back out, smiling in contentment. she let out a sigh of happy satisfaction and brushed her bangs out of her face before turning away from the exhibit. more children ran to take her place, seeing the open opportunity at a better view.
viola walked away serenely, her meek shoulders bobbing in time with the tapping of her boots. it was a warm summer day, and the sun was beating its rays down over the masses of tourists and animal enthusiasts. viola's white blonde hair streamed behind her as she gracefully walked up to a lemonade stand on the side of the pathway. she grabbed her purse from the side of her body, revealing a small wallet. she flashed a small smile at the vendor, and ordered a lemonade slush, gratefully taking a sip of it once she walked away. the girl sat on one of the benches directly across from the elephant exhibit, and her expression crinkled in glee.
now violetta pryderi was not a frequenter of zoos as one might seem. in fact, she often times avoided the place as much as possible. viola's happy expression faltered slowly until her lips reached a grim line. it had been awhile since she'd been to one. her entire posture slumped. her shoulder released her purse from her body to her side. her pointed, perfect hands gripped the lemonade cup tighter. the princess felt tiny tears well up in her eyes. viola quickly shook her head, and looked back up in determination. "No!" she thought fervently. "I can't be all depressed! I have to keep going!" With that, she nodded her head in assurance and took another confident sip from her lemonade slush.
taking several big gulps of the slush, she set down the empty paper cup with a flourish, feeling rejuvenated and renewed. she smiled with confidence once more, releasing yet another satisfactory sigh. however, as quick as it came, her blissful expression was replaced. her pale hands flew up to the sides of her head, her face filled with pain. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Brain freeze brain freeze BRAIN FREEZE!!!" viola stood up quickly, shaking her head around a bit to get rid of the cool sensation. in a rush she snatched the empty lemonade cup and dashed across the wide pathway to stash it in the trash. the girl let out a small noise, shaking her head from side to side, fervently clamping down on her head. with closed eyes she slowly walked back to the bench she was sitting at, stopping when she felt a tiny bump at the calf. she sighed again for the third time opening her eyes. but this time, with no content at all.
her purse was gone.
violetta's eyes scanned left and right, until she saw a middle aged man in a green shirt running off. "Wait! wait! Come back!" she cried, and tried to run. those who dominate, and those who are dominated"tag. open words. 637 quote. liar game (yokoya norihiko) notes. :] credit. hanna ♥

you're vulnerable. you're vulnerable. you are not a robot. sophia didn't exactly agree with zoos. she felt that because some animals were kept in captivity it led to people believing they could still hunt them in the wild as there would always be a couple stashed away in zoos. there were only a couple of hundred tigers left, with a fraction of those in zoos, yet people continued to hunt them regardless. still, there was the positive side to zoos that meant the animals such as tigers and lion and gorillas were not hunted to extinction. however, how would humans feel if in hundreds of years another species was dominant and began to lock the humans up in zoos to protect them from new strong hunters? humans wouldn't like it. this was a prime example of sophia's imagination running away with her. she was thinking about situations far beyond her own situation and getting far too engrossed with the whole train of thought. still, the domestication of wild animals was another idea that zoos seemed to promote that sophia didn't agree with. the lions and tigers that were bred in captivity were denied the ability to blossom into the fierce predators that their ancestors were. they were fed meat in a lump, they were taught to accept humans and they were stared at all day long by people who could barely appreciate their beauty.
for all of the reasons above, sophia did not frequent zoos. however, since the new elephant enclosure had now been opened she felt she should go and look at it. if nothing else, at least zoos attempted to provide the animals with the habitat they deserved. the elephant habitat actually seemed rather good as well. sophia stood at the railing and smiled as she watched the huge animals slowly walk across the terrain and pull leaves from the trees which they then proceeded to eat at the same slow pace as they walked. sophia was in slightly awe of the elephants to be sure - who could not be in awe of such fantastic creatures. she smiled and walked away from the enclosure, planning on walking towards the tigers and lions, her favourite animals, when she caught the distinct smell of popcorn. normally sophia wasn't the kind to eat food sold to her in establishments, but she hadn't had lunch yet and the popcorn smelt truly delicious. handing over some change to the vendor she took a bag of popcorn and a can of lemonade. it was all a bit too expensive for her taste, but satisfied her stomach none the less. she sat down on a bench for a couple of minutes to eat, watching everyone pass her. a couple of families went past with todders, a couple of which she knew from working in the nursery. she said hello to a few parents and made small talk, giving the children hugs and popcorn as she went. it was turning out to be a rather nice day out.
to improve things she caught sight of her friend viola across the walkway buying lemonade. sophia stood up, smiling, and intending to go over to say hello. however a huge tour crowd cut across her path as she started to move forward, forcing her to stand still for a few moments while the guide explained to the tourists about the new elephant enclosure. sophia stood patiently, trying to spot viola through the throng but having no such luck. when the people passed she could see a man in a green shirt hovering beside her friend. then, right before her eyes, the man took viola's bag and started to run off. sophia quickly turned around, looking for someone to help her. the only one close was the vendor on the popcorn stand, who she quickly moved to. "my friend, her bag just got stolen. the man there, the one running away, he's got it in his hand. you see it? can you help please?" she said, rather breathlessly as she watched viola panic. the vendor called security on his walky talky and sophia, satisfied that something was being done, quickly went over to viola.
she caught viola by the forearm. "viola. vee, it's sophia. i sent someone after your bag, calm down."
she said, restraining viola carefully as if she were holding back one of the tired and stroppy toddlers at work. "the man on the food stand sent for security. sit down and calm down while we wait for them to catch him." she said reassuringly. sophia wasn't one to panic unnessecarily. something had been done about the situation, so now they could just be calm until it was all completely resolved. words 776 lyrics i am not a robot, marina and the diamonds outfit clickcomments and credits layout to me, picture to photobucket. tagged for viola and yay for first rp post on the site. ^^ [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"There are only two kinds of people in this world:viola couldn't believe what was happening. it was almost every girl's nightmare. her entire world was complied and compressed into that bag, and if anything happened to it, viola could be taken at a major disadvantage. everything of value was inside it as well: viola's cellphone, her itouch... even the bag itself was a coveted present from her old friends in quebec who had pitched in money to simply buy it. the purse itself was beautiful. it was a light, dapper purple (viola's favorite color) purse made from soft cloth. gold locks and adornments made up the bag as well, making it look attractive and cavalier.
the princess (ever the athlete) tried to give chase, but to no avail. for one, her boots were simply not the kinds you could run with, and even if you did, it would cause some major embarrassment if you fell down. two, violetta pryderi simply did not have the kind of stamina or endurance it would take to chase down a fully grown man. it wasn't possible. she stood there in disbelief, feeling the salty tears well up in her eyes.
she sniffed, the tears now forcing their way down her cheeks. it felt futile now, even if she asked for help. violetta brought her hand to her eyes, wiping them away. her mother had always said to be alert and keep aware in public places, especially because of the way she was. honestly foolish, so honestly idiotic.
even if she wanted to stop being so naive, viola knew that her honesty was ingrained in her for good. ever since she was small, ever since she could remember... violetta michelle pryderi had never once cheated, lied, or scammed anyone. her poor heart wouldn't be able to stand it. she couldn't doubt anyone either, nor truly hate anyone. "You must always be honest and trustworthy... that is the only way anyone can find happiness in this world..."
suddenly, just as viola had lost all hope, she felt a hand grip her arm from behind her. she jumped, scared for a small moment before turning around. her expressive eyes began to do magic once more as they sparkled at the sight of her friend. "SOPHIA!" she cried happily. the brunette quickly got a hold of viola's arms, looking her straight in the eye. violetta listened to her, and she smiled grateful. "Thank you thank you thank you! Oh, it's so good you were here!" viola smiled in gentle appreciation; she always admired sophia's calm and demeanor. she nodded, turning her head downward as her face became one of worry about her purse.
as sophia suggested, viola went to sit down at the bench were she was earlier, curling her slender fingers into a fist and brought it to her lips in worry. she hoped with all her might that the security would come and catch the man soon. she believed whole-heartedly in them. now all they had to do was wait. viola looked back up, regaining her composure as she gave an elegant, stately smile to her friend. "Thank you again, Sophia... I don't know what I would've done without you!" viola paused. "I didn't know you were here as well! It's so nice that we can meet up so unexpectedly like this,"

you're vulnerable. you're vulnerable. you are not a robot. Sophia smiled as Viola sat down, despite how tense the younger girl was. Bless her – Sophia sat down next to Viola and put her arm around her shoulders comfortingly. ”Don't worry, someone will come back with your bag soon.” she reassured her, brushing the blonde's hair from her face. This was Sophia in a nutshell. She was a real motherly person. She liked to take care of people and resolve problems, often with as little aggravation as possible. ”There's no need to thank me, honestly. It's just good luck.” she said with another smile and giving Viola's shoulder a little squeeze. She didn't approve of the composed smile that Viola was presenting. She could see right through it – either way, she'd prefer for the girl to show how she actually felt. Sophia felt that hiding emotions was an incredibly bad thing to do. There was nothing to be gained from it in her opinion. She shrugged a little as Viola stopped talking. ”I felt I should come and see the new habitat they built for the elephants. You know me – I have to make sure I like it.” she said with a half laugh. Sophia and Viola had known each other for a while now and Sophia liked to think that they knew each other quite well. She removed her arm from the younger girl in order to adjust her shoes and continued to speak; ”What were you doing around here? I didn't think you'd been to the zoo in ages. Surely you'd have been looking at something a little cuter as well?” she was making conversation now in order to keep Viola from worrying about her bag too much. Sophia trusted the security to bring it back and soon enough Sophia was able to spot the security guard moving through the crowd, holding a man in their overly muscled arms. ”Is this the man who took your bag, miss?” he asked Sophia and she turned to Viola with a questioning look in her eyes. ”It's Viola's bag that was stolen so you'll have to ask her.” Sophia said, looking at the bag in the security guard's hand. ”That's your bag though isn't it, Vi? I'm sure you had it when we last went shopping.” she said, looking at the familiar purple bag. Knowing security they'd want to check thoroughly it was Viola's bag, so Sophia steeled herself for the Spanish inquisition. What was in the bag, where were you when it was taken, who lives two doors up from you, blah. Sophia let Viola talk to the men, standing slightly behind her in case the younger girl needed the support. words 444 =/ lyrics i am not a robot, marina and the diamonds outfit clickcomments and credits layout to me, picture to photobucket. tagged for viola. sorry for the shortness, i didn't really know what sophia could do. xD
