Loraline walked around her apartment, cluttered with empty boxes. She was planning to have a bonfire ad some point, but she wasn't sure where or when to have it. So, Rory kicked boxes out of her way as she made it to her bedroom, determined to make it to her dresser. The eighteen year old had figured she would have made it to the beach already, it being about two o' clock in the after noon. But she'd gotten held up in her photography class, set on getting the perfect picture and developing it. Well, staying after class for an hour and a half seemed to pay off, luckily. Rory never did things half-way, especially her art-- that, she went all out for. It could be a good thing or a bad thing, but today it was good. It was even better that Rory was in a fantastic mood and ready to go relax in some warm sunshine. Normally she hated the sun, and waited for it to set, but today was a good day. One of those days that Rory didn't care about anything other than smiling.
Changed and ready to go, Rory headed out to her motor scooter. Will had always made fun of her for riding a motor scooter, but Rory loved the little blue thing. It was weird riding it through California as compared to Seattle, but she was getting used to it slowly but surely. Roseneath was a pretty nice town, and she really liked her college and new apartment. Other than not being able to take her kitten with her to her apartment, Rory was pretty satisfied. The one thing she was excited for was to have time to not think about Will. Though he kept popping into her head, and her text message inbox. Sure, the guy was her best friend, but she was trying to get over him and it wasn't going very smoothly so far. It was time to move on.
The beach was always the perfect place to not think about troubles. Rory had made sure to bring her sketch pad and a pencil, tucked away in the small trunk of her scooter. It took a good fifteen minutes of driving before Rory had parked her scooter and she was walking down the sand in her flip-flopped feet. She found a nice spot and laid down her beach towel, sitting on it cross-legged and flipping through her sketch book. Rory noticed that she was almost out of pages. She would have to buy a new sketch book, that was for sure. The brunette would be nothing without a place to draw. She started drawing, not even paying attention to drawing anything in particular, and stared at her paper as people on the beach moved around her.
