• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •so, it was two in the afternoon, and veronica leigh morgan had just barely made it out of bed. having woken up surrounded by beer cups and cans of pabst could have only meant one thing. that she had played too much beer pong and been so wasted that she didn’t even remember doing so. because under ordinary circumstances, veronica drank no less than the best. really, what good was it doing something unless it was the best? she loved nice, expensive things. and sadly enough, her job as a sales associate didn’t exactly provide her with the means to do so. currently, her closet was full of forever 21 clothes purchased with an employee discount. at least she had a few men that could buy her nice things on occasion. she wasn’t exactly a slut, but veronica did know how to get what she wanted pretty easily. and when she and sydney were together, they could practically get whatever they wanted without even having to work at it. somehow they had that sort of ‘magnetic personality’ that just attracted men. or perhaps it was obvious that they would both hook up with pretty much anything that moved.
sometimes, however, that did not turn out the best. like the one time that veronica hooked up with a film student. oh how that would most likely come back to haunt her. she didn’t need some emo guy who was probably clingy and thought they had some sort of emotional connection hanging on to her. she didn’t even remember his name, so if whoever this guy was ever brought it up again, veronica would just pretend not to know the guy. it wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. she had her fair share of embarrassing hookups, and some of them, she really preferred had never happened. but then again, many of them were sober, and ended much better. but to veronica, sex was mostly about sheer pleasure, she didn’t want to do anything if it wasn’t fun and enjoyable. this might have also been one of the reasons she and sydney were such good friends.
veronica barely remembered the night that they met, other than it involved a shitload of alcohol, and quite a few hot boys. however, that was the way most nights ended up for her, and she would really have it no other way. if anything happened to her, she had people to fall back on and take care of her. but thanks to her extremely high tolerance level, that rarely happened. most of the time, it was just hooking up, having a good time, and occasionally blacking out. and on a rare occasion, ending up passed out in the bathtub. thankfully, the last one had only occured once, after chugging half a fifth of bacardi in less than ten minutes. obviously, she did some stupid things but, she had met her best friend in the process. at this point she and syd were pretty much inseparable. veronica never put on an outfit without consulting her, and vice versa. and after the night before, she had learned that they were a pretty good beer pong team as well. not that veronica would ever play beer pong unless she was drunk out of her ass, but that tended to happen when the two of them were together.
at least this afternoon would be fun for the two of them. just a day of boy shopping, as veronica liked to call it. there was no way that anyone could resist them together, they were pretty much the crazy team, who did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. while this may not have been the best thing for them regarding their future, nobody actually cared. and typically they had a great time, no matter what the circumstances. veronica by herself was insane enough, but adding another person exactly like her made things that much better. even sober, they were just a bundle of energy, except when insanely hungover, like this particular day. veronica had a giant starbucks nonfat latte in her hand, and she was fully prepared to have another. coffee was the ultimate hangover cure, as was shopping and browsing for cute guys. so, as veronica pulled up to the mall in her honda civic, she browsed the parking lot for potential conquests. today was certainly going to be interesting, and it was only two in the afternoon.

CALIFORNIA GIRLS w e ‘ r e u n f o r g e t t a b l e What the hell? the twenty year old thought to herself as she felt the little fists of fury pounding her brain. Looking over at the clock, Sydney blinked, until the red numbers finally became clear. It was two in the afternoon, and she still felt like shit. Surely, things weren't that crazy last night. Last night.. now only if the memories of what had actually happened managed to stay with her, the blond would have explanations. One for the massive headache she was currently dealing with and the random note left on the floor of her bedroom.
After rolling around for a moment, Syd finally made her way out of her bed and walked over to the note. You girls sure know how to party. -John First who the hell was John, and second, why was he in her apartment. Now, she wasn't surprised there was a boy in her room. Those things happened every night basically, but the fact that she had no recollection to sex which made her wonder. After pondering the situation she shrugged and smiled a little. The note was true at least. She and her best friend did know how to party. Speaking of the little peanut, Syd wondered what she was up to today.
Facebook began answering questions as the girl made plans with Roni. Her best friend was feeling just as bad as she was. Not to mention she slept with the emo boy last night. Sydney couldn't help but letting out an actual laugh at the thought of that. He would surely be texting, calling, or stalking her best friend shortly. The two were always drunk with boys, drunk together, or with boys together. It was just something they did. They were two peas in a pod.
Switching between her computer screen and the closet, the girl rolled back and forth in her chair, slowly of course. The aspirin she had managed to find in her bedside drawer had yet to kick in. After finalizing plans with her bestie and some with a boy for later in the evening, the girl was dressed and only had to find a pair of sandals.
Slowly making her way down the stairs, Syd noticed her aunt was no where to be found, and she sighed slightly. She was twenty and still not living on her own, it was only a matter of time before her aunt got sick of the boys. But, luckily her aunt was never home, and rarely even noticed the twenty year old when she was. Grabbing her keys off the counter and her purse. The blond situated herself in her black Audi and opened the sun roof. She figured some fresh air would do her some good, at least she hoped. For the way she was feeling, she surprisingly didn't look too awful, which would help for boy shopping.
Arriving at the mall a little while later, considering a stop to Starbucks was in order, Sydney parked in the normal parking lot and saw Veronica just getting out of her car. These two were always together, it wasn't a lie. They arrived places together, left together, and even if they didn't mean to be in the same place, they always were. She couldn't help but smile as she noticed her friend sporting the same 'death' look she was. Taking a sip of her venti caramel frappacino, she clicked the lock and alarm button on her keypad.
"Ah baybay. Whatchu doin tonight?" A smile crossed the girls lips as she walked closer to her friend, noticing that she too had stopped at Starbucks. "I totally knew that was you two cars in front of me in the drive-thru."

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •for veronica, it was always fun to go out an have a good time, but the day after was never a pleasant experience. that was made extremely obvious by the fact that she was on her third starbucks latte. there was no way that she could survive without an excessive amount of caffeine. that combined with ibuprofen typically caused her hangover to go away. besides, she went out pretty much every night, and there was no way that she would ever give up her partying lifestyle. or at least not for a few years. she wasn't going to sit around and do nothing all day, that would just be slightly pathetic. not slightly, but extremely pathetic. she had a social life, and didn't care to spend her college years holed up in the library. in fact, she was barely passing her classes, but she didn't care. as long as finanical aid was paying for school, she could just spend all the rest of her money on booze and clothes.
chugging her latte, and throwing it in the trash, she looked up, at her best friend. she hated being the short one, or as syd called her 'peanut'. though just about anything was better than roni. she hated it when anybody called her that. veronica did not want to be called by a guy's name. that said, sydney was the only person who could get away with it, and even then, it was just to annoy her. "of course that was me, do you think i can make it a day without coffee?"
she replied, jokingly. but it was true, that second to alcohol, coffee was her biggest addiction. yeah, it wasn't the healthiest thing in the world, but veronica didn't really give a damn. then again, she only cared about anything if it meant that she would have a good time. as she entered the mall, veronica looked around at some of the guys. sadly, most of them seemed to be taken, forced to go there with their girlfriends. honestly, how sad was it that men were forced to go there rather than play video games or have sex with other women. commitment was just one of those things that she never understood. how somebody could be tied down to just one person, she didn't quite get. the fact that there was one person that someone could be with for their entire lives seemed quite boring to her. though veronica's hookup list was quite long, and some people would consider her a bit of a slut, she was mostly just afraid of the commitment of a relationship. and obviously she didn't have to hook up with people, it made her happy and feel good for a little bit. staring at a pair of five inch heels, veronica immediately knew she wanted them, since being as short as she was, she didn't want to have to look up at everyone when she talked to them. that was the funny thing about her and syd's friendship. appearance wise they were polar opposites, the tall blonde and the short brunette, but they had almost identical personalities, and fed off each other for entertainment. "how about these?" veronica asked sydney. since it was obvious that she never bought anything without asking her best friend's opinion. it was just sort of unwritten law that she had to ask somebody else before buying. after all, they could have been totally wrong for her, but then again, she could have magically found the perfect pair of high heeled shoes. if it were the latter, veronica would be extremely happy. shoes just made her life for some reason. probably that they made her taller and not feel like such a peanut around everyone else. plus, black peep toes went with just about everything that she owned. the only problem was that veronica tended to stumble while intoxicated, and high heels would probably increase the likelihood of that happening. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • WORDS six seventy TAGGED SYDNEY OUTFIT CLICK HERETEMPLATE PANIC! CALIFORNIA GIRLS w e ‘ r e u n f o r g e t t a b l e Sydney just smiled at her friends comment. That was true. If Syd knew anything about her best friend it was that she was an alcoholic, coffee lover who liked to sleep with anything that sprouted legs and well something in between them. When it came to the blonde, her addictions were a little different. Hers were more of alcohol, sex, and fashion. All the money this girl owned from her Victoria's Secret job was spent on clothes, and expensive things. Not to mention the money daddy sent her once a month, that was a lot more than she could ever earn.
Daddy dearest over in Newport had enough money to have three houses, one in Newport, one in California, and another in the Bahamas. So, of course he had enough money to send his daughter. Sydney mostly kept it in the bank, and tried to support herself through working and everything, but there were a couple of times she indulged. Like when she bought her baby, her Audi. It was black with tan interior and everyone knew the Sydney loved it more than anything else in the world. It wasn't even worth getting dirty for a guy, but it took a lot for her to actually get to those situations, considering she normally had the boys driving her around anyway.
Walking in the mall, she noticed boys. Lots of boys, but all with girlfriends. She was sure her best friend was thinking the same thing. How mean of these girls to force these boys to be in a relationship with them, let alone drag them to the mall. They should be off doing boy things, like sports or something. Sydney never dated, she only had flings and hookups. There was never any reason to have a boyfriend. She would be bored with them within a week, and probably wouldn't have any true feelings for them. There was no point in getting attached to anyone. You only ended up getting hurt.
Sipping the last of her frappacino and throwing it in the trashcan, Sydney noticed some boys a little further away. They seemed to be early to mid twenties and were buying sports equipment which was always a good sign. Nothing was better than boys with slightly sweaty, tan skin. Fishing around her purse for a mint, she turned back to her friend who was indulged in a pair of black peep toe heels. "I like them, definitely go with everything. But, if you wanted a bit of a fashion statement..." She turned and grabbed a pair of black heeled ankle boots. She knew her best friend would look awesome in them. Sydney was in love with her best friends style, even though her own was very similar.
Sydney's eye caught a hold of these pink studded heels and her heart dropped. Picking them up to show her friend she noticed the same guys as earlier were coming closer. They had potential, and nice clothes either meaning two things. One, they were rich and could take the girls out for the night. Or two, they were homosexual and just knew something about fashion and designer names. "Eleven O'clock. They have potential. But, we have to wait until they get closer. However, they do seem to be interested in you."
The blonde laughed slightly as she put the pink heel back where it belonged and noticed one of the guys pointing at Veronica. She then made her way over to another pair of heels and tried them on, growing a couple of inches. Her height was one of the few things that made her different from her best friend. Another was the hair color, but other than that. There really wasn't much. They were both crazy, loved a good time, and had enough boys to keep them preoccupied for years. Another thing they had in common was their school work ethic. Sydney went out too much to actually make it to class, but with daddy being an alumni and well, sleeping with teachers wasn't illegal if someone knew about it. So, her grades remained high, and the blonde never had to worry about a thing. Except for the fact that Sydney actually wished she cared about school.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •if there was one thing that could make veronica feel better after a long night of partying, and the splitting hangover that came with it, it was shopping. the mall was the only place that she could find both cute shoes and cute boys. both of which seemed to make her day better. booze and boys were all she needed in life. obviously, she enjoyed anything that gave her pleasure. whether it be sex, alcohol, or pretty much anything else. while she may not have been able to afford the lifestyle that she wanted, certainly rich men could do the trick. besides, rich men were typically older and more experienced. and despite her age, veronica had plenty of expertise in that area. almost always, hooking up with a guy included free drinks, typically of her choice, which meant a grey goose martini or a cosmopolitan. cheap liquor was one thing that veronica could not stand in the least. the only way she would ever drink it was if she were so plastered that she wasn’t even aware she was drinking cheap booze.
but now, it was just time for some boy and shoe shopping. ”ooh, i like. and they’ll make me a little bit less of a peanut,”
she replied, with a laugh. anything to make her a few inches taller would work out just fine for veronica. not that she necessarily hated her height, but sometimes it could be a little bit of a problem. however, she made up for it by being extremely feisty and always willing to speak her mind. of course she knew how to say the right things to get what she wanted, and knew how to manipulate people very easily. that was what made going out with sydney so much fun. the of them knew how to turn anything in to a good time. it could be the most boring night, but with the two of them, something entertaining was bound to happen. glancing over at the guys that sydney pointed out, veronica reached in to her purse and put on her signature marshmallow lip gloss. giving them a smile and a little bit of a wave, as she walked towards them. obviously she wasn’t going to start by striking up a conversation, but she wanted to make sure that they were worth her time before actually putting in any effort. thankfully they were typical california boys. tan, toned, and obviously well groomed. most definitely veronica’s type. not that she necessarily had a type, since she tended to hook up with just about any guy that moved. but at least these guys were good looking, and hopefully over twenty one. veronica was not a fan of younger guys that couldn’t get her what she wanted. even though she had been getting in to clubs in roseneath since she was sixteen. but honestly, she liked older men. despite the fact that they tended to prefer commitment to hooking up, there were a few people that could please her. ”okay, those guys over there. gay or just well groomed?” veronica asked syd, jokingly. ”and i’m strongly hoping it’s the latter”. too bad that most of the guys that came to the mall were either taken or gay, which tended to be the way that things were in general. finding single guys was much more difficult than it seemed. the hardest part was finding somebody that she hadn’t already hooked up with. sometimes she liked the same guys, but typically it was a new guy every night, or at least every week. and if these guys were straight and single, it would be absolutely perfect for her. and if not, she always had the guys at the bars and clubs to fall back on. and last, but not least, she could text one of the many guys she had hooked up. she probably had more fuck buddies than she could count, but it was always nice to have a change once in a while. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • WORDS six eighty two TAGGED SYDNEY OUTFIT CLICK HERETEMPLATE PANIC! CALIFORNIA GIRLS w e ‘ r e u n f o r g e t t a b l e A frown crossed Sydney's face. But, I love you're peanut size. It's cute. She was obviously joking around. She did think it was cute that Veronica was short. It was like she could be picked up and put in your pocket, not to mentions boys loved it. But, it was hard to be so much taller than your best friend, especially when it came to sharing clothes. Thankfully, they wore the same size tops, but when it came to bottoms. They weren't even close to the same length. But, it would be nice to have you almost at eye level. She gave her best friend a smile and then laughed.
Pulling a water bottle out of her bag, Sydney took a sip. After a night of drinking, she wanted to replenish and get ready to go out again. Hopefully these surfer boys were going to treat these girls right, and hopefully they were straight. It really was hard to tell sometimes. Even if they were gay, maybe they would assist the girls in shopping, they did have fabulous fashion sense from what Syd could see. Taking off the heels, Sydney couldn't help but laugh. Of course her best friend was thinking the same thing as her. They always had the same thoughts. It was almost creepy how that worked out. Sometimes when the two of them were drunk, they would blurt out the same things. I was just thinking that. But, I wanna say straight since they aren't holding hands or what not." Sydney shrugged and then looked over in their direction. It was certain they weren't holding hands, but then again, maybe they hated PDA. Not everyone has to announce to the world they are a couple.
If it were up to her, no one would ever be a couple. It was just a waste of time, and really no fun. Picking up the pink heel again she turned to her best friend."Besides the fact that I will be a giant. Do I want these?" The blonde always asked her questions that way, the two girls might as well share a brain, since they always did the same things anyway. Veronica was also the perfect person to tell Sydney if she would be to tall. It never really mattered to Syd how tall the heels were. She would rock them anyway, but guys were sometimes intimidated if the heels made her too tall.
Looking past her best friend for a moment, she caught a glimpse. The boys were talking to other girls. So, they definitely were interested, but those girls would be a problem. One of the chicks was in Sydney's class. So, she knew they were her age. But, those girls weren't even have as pretty as they were. Not to mention they were wearing brown shoes with black pants. Didn't anyone tell them how to dress. Brown and black did not go together, ever. She nudged Veronica and tilted her head towards the group, hoping she would understand what she was looking at.
