lukas stepped into the shower, jumping slightly at the temperature of the water. "fuck," he cursed under his breath. so cold. and he thought the bloody sea was cold. the water began to warm as it ran over his body. soothing the strained muscles. the evidence of the fall was obvious now, some bruising was beginning to show, over his left shoulder. his neck and back were stiff, though the hot water pulsating over them began to ease the pressure under the skin. as the water coursed over him, he sighed contently. the events of the day kept replaying over and over again, in his head. he couldn't help but chuckle to himself, at the image of his hair when he'd glanced in the bathroom mirror before clambering into the shower. he looked like someone who had just stuck a form into an electrical socket. this was also one of the many stories, that lukas' grandfather managed to get wrapped around his neck. it wasn't infact an electrical socket that lukas had jabbed a fork in. it had been a fork stabbed into a toaster in hope of retrieving the last bagel from burning. fair enough, it had destroyed a fifty dollar toaster, and blew all the electrics in the house, for the sake of a one dollar bagel. but it was the last bagel. and lukas was hungry. he's a boy, for pete's sake. logical thought processes do not always... well, process? when a male is hungry. blame it on anatomy.
he began lathering his body with a gell. wincing slightly as he touched the tender area on his shoulder. it was only then when lukas got a whiff of the scent. his eyes widened to the limits, a choking laugh escaping his lips. his eyes flickered to the label on the container, unable to hold back at laugh at what the label said. "cherry shortcake shower balm". what the fuck was shower balm? cherry shortcake? he wasn't sure what he was more disgusted at to be quite honest with you. she was full of surprises. lukas can honestly say if he had been in any other girls shower, rinsing himself clean with some cherry shite, he would have been unimpressed to the maximum. the thought also occured to him, how he'd never let another girl ride on the back of his bike. ever. the bike was sacred. yet, offering sophia a ride had seemed like the most natural thing in the world. she had enjoyed it. and even more surprising as he acknowledged it... he had enjoyed it too. much more so than usual when he went biking.
moving onto his hair, he lifted another bottle suspiciously from the shelf. glaring, he shook his head in disgust. raspberry ripple shampoo. he was going to smell of cherry shortcake and raspberry ripple. he was a bloke. a motocrossing, fitness freak male. who now apparently smelled like a dessert. and the bugger stung when it got into your eyes as well. as if this matter couldn't get any worse. stepping out from the shower, lukas grabbed a towel and began rigorously drying himself. followed by towel drying his hair; which left it looking decidely bedhead-esque. slipping on his boxers and throwing the towel over his shoulder, he left the bathroom.
padding along the landing, the floorboards creaked underneath his bare feet. following the sound of human life, he stood outside the door. knocking hesitantly. he didn't want to burst in if she was doing female things. he remembered walking in on a past... fling, whilst she was in the middle of a full body waxing session. he'd never quite recovered after that. shuddering, he entered, peaking his head around carefully. flinging the door open when he realised she was decent. he stood in the doorway. eyebrows raised. "you do realise," tapping his foot impatiently on the floor, resisting the urge to smirk at her gaze on him. oh yeah, he was only wearing boxers. that would make sense. "i smell like a freaking girl!" flinging the towel at her, whincing slightly at the movement on his shoulder. he hissed underneath his breath, attempting to hide it from her. "raspberry ripple?! CHERRY SHORTCAKE." he wandered over the bed. narrowing his eyes at where she sat. "believe it or not, i'm not a dessert. i'm not edible,".
his gaze ligured on her. what was it about her that fascinated him. her smile, that seemed to be contagious. her eyes, that sparkled everytime she found something about him amusing. the fact she laughed at him, not with him... lukas quickly retracting these vulnerable thoughts. lukas didn't think that this. realising he'd been zoning it, he covered it up by clearing his throat, and laying the bravado on thick. " as much as i would enjoy being nearly naked on your bed, it does have its downsides..." his fingers playing with the edge of the bedspread. "i'm absolutely STARVING," chuckling to himself at the double entendre of his words. one meaning purely suitable for a family audience... the other? not so much. definatly post-watershed material. lukas wasn't usually that forward, but he was praying that this facade, managed to cover up his silence a moment ago. or atleast distract himself from the alien thoughts that he'd never even considered before, let alone noticed. all he knew was that there was something about sophia, that he seriously liked- everything else, the heat, the thoughts, the feelings were too much for lukas to pinpoint at this moment in time.

you will fly and you will fall , Sophia watched Lukas, biting her lip in an attempt not to smile. ”I'm guessing you didn't see the zesty orange or lemon and lime shampoos then?” she teased, breaking into a huge smile. She caught the towel quickly and threw it on to her bed behind her before returning her attention to Lukas. Her mind for a moment considered the possibly of eating him, in a completely non dirty way I might add, but she quickly cut the thought short before it proceeded to something filthy. She bounced off of the bed slightly as Lukas flung himself onto the bed and giggled as he started complaining. ”Let me find you some clothes and then we'll go get food.” she said, jabbing his exposed stomach. ”Stop complaining after I let you use my highly delicious smelling shampoos.” she chided him, bending over to rummage through her pyjama drawer. She managed to find a v-neck shirt of Jake's which she threw in Lukas' direction, along with a pair of socks. Luckily his jeans hadn't gotten soaked by the sea so would be fine for him to wear once he brushed the sand off. ”Put those on and we'll go see what we can find to eat.” she said with a smile, putting her thumbs in the back pockets of her jeans and walking downstairs.
Once in the kitchen she realised that she'd boiled the kettle for a drink she'd never have and was momentarily disappointed, before she pulled on a pair of shoes that she found in the lounge and picked up her shoulderbag from the kitchen table. She had only taken her camera and keys to the beach but decided now she might want her purse, ipod and phone as well. She didn't normally have many people contacting her throughout the day so her phone wasn't all that important, but depending on where they went she might have wanted it to call a taxi home tonight. While she was gathering her things together Sophia heard Lukas come downstairs and went t meet him. ”I don't know where you fancy going for food but there's a curry place nearby, a pizzeria and a chippie, so it's your pick.” of all of these restaurants the curry house was Sophia's most frequent take away. She rather loved foreign food, plus she found that oriental take always tended to prepare their food better.
Sophia couldn't help but be quite regretful that Lukas was now clothed, which shocked her slightly. She was alarmed at the forwardness of her own thoughts. Furthermore, she felt the odd urge just to reach out and touch him or to hold his hand or something else that could be terribly embarrassing if she was rejected. Instead, she decided that putting her thumbs back in the back pockets of her jeans was the safest option. ”Seeing as you're the guest, you can pick where we go.” she said with a smile. ”Do you want to take your bike stuff here or pick it up later?” she asked, though part of her brain wanted to offer for him to stay the night. Sophia continued to shock herself tonight.

lukas' mouth dropped open in disbelief at the mention of less feminine smelling shampoo. lemon and lime? zesty orange? oh now. he had to pick raspberry freaking ripple. it's a good job none of his friends, were in smelling distance of him. he would never live this down. he might as well have taken a rose petal bath, bathing in the candle light. "don't you grin at me. i smell like a poxy pixie," he sighed. his eye tortured. "do you have any idea what this is doing to my ego?". attempting to grab her finger, when she poked his stomach, but failing miserably, he settled for huffing under his breath and mumbling - "you're impossible,". still sulking. i'm male. i shouldn't smell like a ripple shortcake; or whatever it is,"
catching the shirt in his hand, he pulled it over his head. it fitted, ok. nodding at her words, he leant down, and pulled the socks on, that she had handed to him. "yes, your highness". a enthusiastic smile lighting up his face at the mention of food. " your wish is my command!" bowing in an exagerrated gesture. following her down the stairs, he admired the photographs on the walls. he only broke his gaze from the decor, when he heard her speaking to him. "um. lukas. as i've told you many times before, is male. and straight males like food. all kinds of food. you could serve them up a five month old sausage and a potnoodle and they'd be thrilled. "i like food, all food pretty much,". it'd been a while since lukas had ate junk food admitidly. "you know, i can't remember the last time i had a takeaway. glancing around. "i don't want to get fat... considering. "plus takeaways never bode well with a nightly gym visit.". he looked at her smiling. "however, since i've hurt my shoulder a bit, i won't be going to the gym. so lets grab a curry,"
he noticed her fiddling awkwardly with her hands, before fitting them once more in her back pockets. he frowned inwardly at this. was she uncomfortable around him? was she nervous. he cursed himself, realising that she had been talking to him once more. snapping to attention, he cleared his throat. "i think i'll leave it here. we've just got clean, no point lugging it around,". stepping infront of sophia, he opened the frontdoor, step aside whilst holding the door for her. she easily managed to walk under his arm, that was holding the door ajar. a smile spreading across his face. "dwarf," he whispered. glancing around as if he'd never said anything. he waited until she'd locked the door, before stepping beside her, allowing her to lead the way. "after you," purposefully sticking his leg out slightly, to trip her up. his arm grabbing her before she could fall. "that's for trying to shove me over earlier, cheater!" bumping her slightly with his hip. "and for making me smell like some cheap dessert. i'll be the laughing stock of the entire takeaway. all thanks to you!

you will fly and you will fall , sophia couldn't help giggling. "don't worry your ego isn't too damaged. i'm sure it'll bounce back in no time." she teased. it was incredibly easy and fun to wind up lukas, despite the fact she'd only known him one afternoon. she shrugged at his indecision over food and opened the front door for the two of them. "curry sounds good. to be honest, i don't go to the gym, or work out, so junk food is just another food to me." she said, "i'm really not one to worry about calories and all of that." she finished, stepping outside and waiting for lukas to follow her. she was easily caught by lukas' attempt to trip her and lightly slapped his arm in response. "don't be mean to me, i'm a lady, it's rude." she said in jest, making sure she'd locked the door behind them properly and looking at his bike that was sat in her tiny front garden. "your bike will be plenty safe here." she reassured him, going through her front gate and then shutting it behind him. in a moment of boldness she hooked her arm through his and started pulling him in the right direction for the shop. luckily, the smile plastered on her face hid any other emotions she might have been having. within minutes they were at the curry house. after curry, coffee in her kitchen and lots of fussing over the fact that there was still sand stuck in lukas' bike, the entire evening was over. lukas went home and sophia went to bed. (: NEWWWW outfit. this is shocking quality, but it ends the thread, so yeah. next time i'll be better D; my muse is fighting me right now. <3
