OKAY. this here is sophia who is the incarnate of demeter. i'll give you a little summary of demeter:

'the goddess of the harvest, who presided over grains, the fertility of the earth, the seasons (personified by the Hours), and the harvest. Though Demeter is often described simply as the goddess of the harvest, she presided also over the sanctity of marriage, the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death.'

so yeah, demeter had a lot going on. i've translated as much of this into sophia's personality as possible. (sophia and chloe are both names originating from demeter, somehow or other, for example.) sophia is a huge eco warrior. she loves the planet. she loves the fact the grass is green and the bees sting and that if you look at the sun it's going to hurt yours eyes. she loves all of it. she wants to protect everything on the planet that she possibly can. she takes part in conservation projects, she joins protests and the buys from local farms. she is very pro-organic food. if she's going to eat something she wants to know it's from a good source. she's very intune to nature. her garden is smothered in flowers and one day she wants to grow her own food in a nice house in the country.

the next thing you should know about her is that she is nice. she looks for the good in people. she likes seeing the smiles and ignoring if someone has a bad reputation or if they've got a temper or anything. she only sees the good. bad doesn't exist. she has a very positive outlook on the world. her life has been good. she's seen her parents split up yet still exist peacefully together. she's seen her mum go shopping with her step mum and her dad hang out with her mum's boyfriend. she doesn't see why people argue because things can always be sorted out in a civil manner.

another thing is that sophia is very family orientated. she's all about settling down and having kids and living a very nice simple life. her aims in life are simple. career isn't too important, nor is money, nor is how big her house is. she values the people around her much more. so loyalty is important, seriously. (: and this is important to anyone interested in a love plot. you can't be a child hater! haha.

so plotwise, it's pretty easy really - daydream sophia needs lots of lovely friends (: because she likes to have people to be nice to. she needs a really nice love plot, a couple of exes and someone to make her feel gloomy every now and again. (:

Oh Lord, we have to do something with these two, as Demeter was Persephone's mommy dearest. XD

They're close in age, as Melanie's twenty and Sophia's nineteen, so it should be pretty easy to have them be friendly toward each other. Melanie's pretty brutally honest, so she might have a few things to say about Sophia's nature-loving ways, but in the end she respects that about Sophia and will likely tell her that as well.

I'm still not sure how to do the whole Demeter/Persephone thing, though. Any ideas on that front?

maybe the two girls families know each other and therefore the two have grown up close from birth and have quite a good relationship with each other? then, despite their ages, as sophia has grown up and developed quite a parental nature she's started being the more responsible one? the demeter/persephone bit could come in if melanie gets herself into trouble somewhere along the line and it's sophia that comes along to help sort it, similarly to how demeter convinced zeus to have persephone freed from hades? otherwise i can't think of any way we can link them other than being like family. mel's honest nature and sophia's rose tinted view of the world could make for interesting sibling style conversations and bickering. (:

so mia and sophia. i think they should be close? like have a sort of sister/sister bond? 'cause she's had a really tough past and she just needs a girlie friend. she's becoming a little bit of a whore so maybe sophia could help her see the right path? or something. i really really dont' know. :'c
